Four Seasons of Marriage

(based on the book by Gary Chapman)

Your marriage is continuously in a state of transition, moving from one season to another. Each season comes and goes - perhaps not annually, as in nature - but just as certainly and consistently. Each season holds the potential for happiness, and each one has its challenges. Our goal is to describe these recurring seasons, help you and your spouse identify which season your marriage is in, and show you how to enhance your marriage in all four seasons.

Conflict Resolution

How do you deal with conflict in your home? Do you avoid it and then “blow up” later? Are you keeping a “score card” of your spouse’s mistakes to bring up during a heated discussion? Our goal is to help you effectively deal with conflict in ways that will strengthen your marriage relationship. We will discuss taking “time-outs” for prayer, how to stop being a “historian” of your spouse’s mistakes, and the “Three C’s” necessary for resolving conflict.

Igniting the Sheets

The best way to “heat” things up in your marriage bed is to listen to the Creator of marriage and sex! Sex was created by God and pronounced good in Eden (Genesis 2:24). God’s plan for sex has been twisted into an illicit, self gratifying act in our society. Using the Song of Songs as our guide, we take an in depth look at God’s plan for sex versus the worldview of sex today. Couples will be equipped with practical ways to strengthen their sexual relationship and learn the important truth: “It’s not all about me”!

Time Management

What’s most important in your life? Take a look at your calendar ~ does it reflect how God wants you to prioritize your life? The busy routine of daily living can distract us from spending time with our Heavenly Father, our spouse, and our children. Learn to “just say no” and carefully guard your time to be focused on what matters the most. Our goal is to help you biblically refocus your daily, monthly, and yearly activities while enriching your walk with God and your family life.
